I get asked quite often why I like to cook. The first reason I give is normally because I like to eat. I am Thai and food is a big factor in our culture. We greet each other with hello followed by 'have you eaten? When guests turn up at your house it's safe to assume that they will expect to be fed.

The second reason is that as I grew up in the Northeastern part of Thailand, the poorest region, food was always hard to come by. We weren't hungry as there was always rice, but it was difficult finding something to go with rice. Now I do have ingredients to go with rice, I want to cook!

  1. I was lucky enough to try this recipe made with Ellie's fair hands and all I can say is it's amazing! My parents also enjoyed it and they are the fussy eaters. I love salmon and this is a great alternative to the plain old salmon I would normally cook. I would certainly recommend you give it a try!

  2. What a lovely and kind thing to say. It's always lovely to hear that friends and family enjoy what you cook for them.I am so glad George and Cherie liked it, knowing they're not that keen on Asian flavours.
I look forward to seeing you again and can't wait to have more food for you to try.x
